Supporting Wildlife
OurLand started as a private protected area in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, adjacent to the Salakphra Wildlife Sanctuary. Here they operate an education center and research station where they work to find & share solutions for human-wildlife-conflict, global change, sustainability, and the environment
Their home base location is located at the Southern tip of the Western Forest Complex and Salakphra Wildlife Sanctuary, a region heavily impacted by habitat loss, degradation, and human-wildlife-conflict. The OurLand reserve functions as part of a corridor, connecting the wildlife living in Salakphra to a critical water source, the Kwae Yai River.
They are now expanding beyond the land, with a new project in Koh Yao Noi, in Phangna, Thailand.Here, they have partnered with dive outfit, Similian Scuba, to develop community conscious conservation activities and research.
